The first picture is actually from the fireman cake from a couple of posts ago...it was a "special cupcake" for the birthday boy, rather than a smash cake.
The other cupcakes were ordered with the preceding cake...graduation, pretty and beavers.....
I tried a twist on my devils food cucake today, I put a half a tablespoon of almond filling in the center...it baked the same texture of the cake, and gave it a nice little bite at the end. I topped it with an amaretto frosting.
The flower cupcakes are vanilla with lemon and raspberry flavored american buttercreams.
The graduation hats are carrot cake (recipe courtesy of Martha Stewart in her cookbook 'cupcakes') with cream cheese frosting.
