Sorry, didn't get pictures of us devouring this....And I'm only posting this to tell you that I followed the recipe to the "T", and it was DELICIOUS! Highly recommend it.
This cake was huge....that middle tier was 9 inches tall. Had alot of problems with the fondant on this cake, but conceptually, I really liked my design.
A coworker who lost both of her breasts to cancer a couple of months ago, BRAVELY, decided she was going to walk in the 3 day this year. Her goal was to raise over $3000. I'm proud to say that I helped her raise over $800 with our little 3 hour bake sale....and I plan on doing it again next year....and oh yeah...she did meet her goal, thanks to all the generous people at the HCMC emergency dept.
The surprise was, the front of the cake looked like a baseball cake...David is a big fan of the Royals, but in the back, his other favorite...Homer Simpson, showed up to say hello.
My daughter's 17th birthday...This girl loves stripes, red, white and black...so this is the cake I came up with. We also made some Red Velvet shooters....which were fantastic. They were my red velvet cake, layered with an eggless chocolate mousse and a cream cheese, whipped cream type mousse.
